Metro

Cross the city without the queue.

Plan a station-to-station metro journey as part of your itinerary and, on networks where the operator has approved an integration, keep a QR ticket on your phone.

QR tickets

A ticket that lives in your pocket.

A metro QR ticket replaces the token or paper slip. Here is how one works from purchase to the exit gate, using a sample that is not valid for travel.

Validity window
Set by the operator. Commonly the day of purchase, with a maximum time allowed between scanning in and scanning out.
Activation
The ticket becomes active at your first gate scan. Before that it can usually be cancelled under the operator’s refund rules; after it, it cannot.
Single or return
A single covers one trip between two stations. Where the network offers return QR, the same code is scanned again for the way back.
Where it works
Only on networks with an approved integration. Elsewhere we plan the route and point you to the operator’s official tickets.

Networks

Six cities, stated honestly.

These are the networks in our planner today. Route planning works on all of them; QR ticketing switches on network by network as each operator approves an integration.

Station lists are a starting set, not the full network. Fares, timings and ticket rules belong to each operator; check the operator’s official channels for service changes.

Last mile

The station is rarely the destination.

A metro journey ends at a gate, not a door. A few habits make the final stretch quick, whether you walk, ride or are being met.

Metro FAQ

Metro tickets, without the jargon.

Which cities can I buy metro QR tickets for on InfiniaTrips?

QR ticketing is offered only on networks where the operator has approved an integration with us, and those integrations are still being put in place. Until a network is live, you can plan station-to-station journeys here and buy tickets through the operator’s official app, website or counters.

How long is a metro QR ticket valid?

Each operator sets its own rules. A single-journey QR is commonly valid on the day of purchase, and once you scan in there is a maximum time you can stay inside the paid area. If you exit at a farther station than the ticket covers, or stay too long, the operator may ask for an excess fare at the gate or counter.

Do I need a separate QR ticket for each traveller?

It depends on the network. Some issue one QR per person, others allow a group QR that is scanned once for each traveller at the gate. The ticket shows how many people it covers, and everyone should pass through the gate together.

What should I do if the gate will not read my QR code?

Turn your screen brightness up, hold the phone flat over the reader and remove a tinted screen protector if you can. If it still fails, go to the station’s customer care or ticket office with the ticket open; do not buy a second ticket for the same trip.

Can I use a National Common Mobility Card instead of a QR ticket?

On a growing number of Indian metro networks, yes. The National Common Mobility Card is a contactless RuPay card issued by banks that can be tapped at enabled gates. Acceptance varies by network and line, so check with the operator before relying on it.
