Before you pay, every room shows who it sleeps, how the beds are set up, which meals come with it and what happens if you cancel. Switch rate plans and the total recalculates with tax.

Listing state

What a listing tells you, and what it won’t.

Search results are built to be read quickly and trusted completely. Three rules hold on every list and map view.

  1. 01

    Map and list stay in sync

    Every filter applies to both. The pin you see is the property in the card beside it, and “search as the map moves” is a choice you switch on, not a surprise.

  2. 02

    Taxes shown, and labelled

    Prices include the taxes charged at booking. Each price says whether it is per night or for the whole stay, and any tax collected at the property is listed on its own line.

  3. 03

    Ratings only with a verified source

    A score appears only when we can name where it came from and how many stays it reflects. If we cannot verify it, the listing says so rather than showing a star.

Hotel booking flow

Five steps from chosen to checked in.

A room is yours when the property says it is. Each step below appears in your trip hub with its own status, so you always know where the booking really stands.

  1. Lead guest identity

    The lead guest’s name exactly as on the ID they will show. Hotels in India ask every adult for government photo ID at check-in, and foreign nationals for a passport and valid visa.

  2. Special requests

    Cot, connecting rooms, a quiet floor, an anniversary cake. Each goes to the property as a request and stays marked as a request until the hotel confirms it.

  3. Payment authorisation

    Hosted, tokenised payment for the total you reviewed. An authorisation reserves funds; it is not yet a booked room.

  4. Property confirmation

    We wait for the hotel or its supplier to confirm the room. Until then your trip shows “awaiting hotel confirmation”, never “confirmed”.

  5. Voucher issued

    One voucher with the hotel confirmation number, room type, meal plan, cancellation deadline, check-in time and the property’s direct contact.

Stays, clearly explained.

Are taxes included in the hotel prices you show?

Yes. Nightly and total prices include the taxes charged at booking, such as GST on Indian stays, and the label always says whether you are looking at a per-night or a whole-stay figure. Some destinations abroad add a local tourist or city tax that the hotel collects at check-in; where that applies, it is listed separately as “payable at the property”.

What ID will a hotel in India ask for at check-in?

Most properties ask every adult guest for an original government photo ID, such as a passport, Aadhaar, driving licence or voter ID. Foreign nationals show a passport with a valid visa, and the hotel registers their stay with the immigration authorities. Some properties add their own house rules on accepted IDs, and we show those before you book.

Is a special request like early check-in or a high floor guaranteed?

No. Requests are sent to the property with your booking, and they depend on availability on the day. Your voucher shows each request as pending until the hotel confirms it. Early check-in and late checkout may also carry a charge, which we show if the property tells us in advance.

When does a non-refundable rate make sense?

When your dates are fixed and the saving is meaningful. A non-refundable rate is usually cheaper because the hotel carries no risk of a late cancellation. If there is any chance your plans will move, compare the difference in total against what you would lose by cancelling.

What is the difference between a hotel confirmation number and a booking reference?

The InfiniaTrips booking reference identifies your order with us. The hotel confirmation number is issued by the property or its supplier once the room is actually secured. Both appear on your voucher, and the hotel’s number is the one to quote at the front desk.

Can I book several rooms for a family on one booking?

Yes, up to eight rooms in one search, each with its own guests and bed preference. For larger parties, weddings or room blocks, our group travel team can request a group rate from the property.
