Booking terms
What happens when you book through InfiniaTrips: our role, prices and payment, when a booking counts as confirmed, traveller details, changes and disruptions, and the supplier conditions that apply to every part of a trip.
Our role
InfiniaTrips arranges travel services supplied by others: airlines, railways, hotels, ground transport companies, tour operators and insurers. Unless your confirmation says otherwise, the supplier provides the service and is responsible for delivering it under its own conditions, which form part of your contract with that supplier. Where we organise a package ourselves, your confirmation will say so and explain what that means for you.
These booking terms sit alongside our terms of service. If a supplier’s conditions differ from them, the supplier’s conditions govern that supplier’s service.
Quotes, prices and taxes
Figures labelled as estimates in ATLAS, planners and guides are indicative. Flight and hotel prices in ATLAS come from live supplier searches and are checked again at checkout. A quote is a live price from a supplier, and it expires; the expiry is shown with it. Before you pay, every quote is re-validated. If the price has changed, you see the new total and the difference, and you decide whether to continue.
The total you approve includes the fare or rate, taxes, supplier and convenience fees, chosen extras and any payment charge. Some charges can only be paid locally, such as a city tax collected by a hotel. Where we know of one, it is shown as “payable locally” before you book.
Goods and Services Tax (GST) applies where required, and invoices are available in your trip hub. For overseas tour packages bought in India, tax collected at source (TCS) may apply under Indian income-tax law. Where it applies, it is shown before you pay, and it can usually be claimed against your income-tax liability.
Payment
Payments are taken through a payment provider’s hosted or tokenised forms. When your bank authorises a payment, funds are approved or held for your order, but that is not yet a ticket or a confirmed room. Repeat attempts on the same order are designed not to charge you twice. If a supplier cannot fulfil a component after payment, we offer an alternative or a refund under that component’s conditions.
When a booking is confirmed
A component is confirmed only when its supplier confirms it: for a flight, when the e-ticket is issued and the booking reference (PNR) is located; for a stay, when the property confirms the room; for a transfer or experience, when the operator issues its voucher. Your trip hub shows each state separately, as explained in our booking-state glossary.
We never present a pending or waitlisted item as confirmed. A waitlisted rail ticket, for example, is not a confirmed seat, and under railway rules a fully waitlisted e-ticket is typically cancelled automatically when the chart is prepared, with a refund.
Traveller details and documents
Enter every traveller’s name exactly as it appears on the ID they will travel with. Many suppliers cannot change names after booking, and those that can may charge for it.
You are responsible for holding valid passports, visas, transit permissions, identity documents and any health documents your journey requires. We help you check requirements through our visa assistance, but rules are set by governments and can change. A supplier may refuse travel without the correct documents, and its conditions then apply.
Bookings for children must be made by a parent, lawful guardian or authorised institution role, with any consent letters that suppliers or authorities require.
Special requests and assistance
We pass assistance and special requests, such as wheelchair help, dietary needs or connecting rooms, to every relevant supplier. A request is confirmed only when the supplier confirms it, and your trip hub shows its status. Tell us as early as possible, ideally when you book.
Changes you make
Whether a booking can be changed or cancelled, and at what cost, depends on the supplier’s conditions for that fare or rate, shown before you pay. Any InfiniaTrips service fee, and whether it is refundable, is also shown at checkout. See cancellations and refunds for how refunds work.
Changes suppliers make
Suppliers sometimes change schedules, substitute services or cancel. When that happens, we tell you, explain your options and act on your choice, such as accepting the change, moving to an alternative or taking a refund, under the supplier’s conditions and applicable law. For flights within India, the DGCA’s passenger charter sets out what airlines should offer for certain delays, cancellations and denied boarding.
Journeys with several parts
Each part of a multi-part journey keeps its own supplier conditions. When one part changes, we help adjust the others, such as moving a transfer or a hotel check-in, but the conditions of those parts still apply. We flag connections that look too tight before you book. If a journey uses separately ticketed flights, a missed connection on one ticket may not be protected by the airline on the other, so allow generous time between them.
Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance that suits your trip. Any policy you buy is a separate contract between you and the insurer, under its own wording. Our travel insurance page explains common terms plainly.
Problems during your trip
If something goes wrong, tell the supplier on the spot and tell us, so we can help while there is still time to fix it. Our support page explains how cases are handled and escalated. Our responsibility to you is set out in the terms of service, and nothing in these booking terms limits your rights under consumer protection law.
